Dresslar Manufacturing Merges with Overton Industries

Franklin, Indiana (December 7, 2009) – Dresslar Manufacturing and Overton Industries announces a change for Dresslar Manufacturing.  As of August 1, 2009, Dresslar Manufacturing became a division of Overton Industries International.   Jon Pinney and Ernie Mangold as well as the support staff which has operated for many years will continue to service the customers’ needs.

For over 39 years, Dresslar Manufacturing has designed, built, assembled, and installed numerous types of equipment including test and inspection, welding, assembly automation and machining equipment as well as part-holding fixtures.  Dresslar has other capabilities such as design and fabrication of complete automated turn-key systems for manufacturing facilities and providing preventative maintenance for such equipment and other manufacturer’s equipment.  Other value-added services include process development and improvement (Kaizen) to assist their customers in gaining maximum production.

Overton is a well-known leader in the industry and builds special machines in their Franklin, Indiana, facility located near I-65 and Highway 44.  Overton Industries has been in business since 1968 and is headquartered in Mooresville, Indiana, where stamping dies, powder metal tooling and molds are built.  Dresslar is joining with Overton’s leadership team which includes Board Chairman and current National Tooling and Machining National Chairman, Ron Overton, Steve Overton (CEO), Rick Overton (President), and Dale Bates (Vice President).

Although there will be some changes in the way Dresslar does business, new and existing customers can certainly expect the same excellent quality and experience from the past.  This change will allow Dresslar to have access to many more resources than currently available yet allow Dresslar to add the automated machine design and build capabilities to Overton Carbide’s

existing special machine build and tooling expertise.

Dresslar Manufacturing has moved to the Overton Carbide Tool & Engineering facility in Franklin, IN as of November 2, 2009.
