Overton Carbide Tool & Engineering, a division of Overton Industries, recently finished an 8,000 sq ft expansion.  The expansion was constructed by T & W Corporation. Owners Ron, Rick, and Steve Overton said that the Carbide division has been cramped for quite some time. "This is long overdue," said Steve Overton. "That facility has been battling space issues since 2003 and they needed every bit of this expansion."

Dale Bates, Vice President of Overton Carbide, said they are finishing up a total reorganization of the shop floor. "We will be much more efficient and productivity will increase," said Bates.

"Although manufacturing continues to experience a slow recovery, we are doing well. Like many companies, we continue to battle overseas competition, but focusing directly on our customer’s needs has our company growing,” said Steve Overton.
